2019 Harvest Underway at Manzanos Vineyards

Harvest operations have begun across Manzanos vineyards in Rioja and Navarra, with teams working around the clock to pick grapes at their peak of maturity. The 2019 growing season has been marked by favorable conditions, generating high expectations for the quality of the incoming fruit. Experienced harvest teams, combining traditional hand-picking methods with modern mechanical harvesting where appropriate, are moving through the vineyards in a carefully planned sequence. White grape varieties are harvested first, followed by the red varieties that need additional time to achieve full ripeness. At the winery facilities, the receiving docks are fully prepared with state-of-the-art sorting and destemming equipment to process the arriving grapes quickly and efficiently. Temperature-controlled fermentation tanks stand ready to begin the transformation from grape to wine.
